Female Orange Tip butterfly
A very wet morning turned into a showery afternoon. F and I went for a walk along the canal at Queen's Head. We had to shelter a couple times as the showers were very heavy.
We saw two swifts flying around - our first of the year. We also saw sedge and garden warblers but the photos are not good enough to use. There were skylarks singing above us - always a lovely sound.
We saw a male Orange Tip and then this beautiful female, the camouflage on her wings is wonderful. I hope that the two of them find each other!
