Quarry pond
A visit this afternoon to a local garden in the Scotland’s Garden Scheme was a bit damp but very worthwhile. The owner is a client who like several others has become a good friend so I have seen the garden a few times and I love the way the previous sandstone quarry has been adapted.
The main feature is the large pond and in the extra there would normally be a lovely view to the distant hills of Perthshire but with the mist today visibility was very limited.
I took along one of my golf pals who is a keen gardener and he loved the place with all its use of paths and quarried stone contoured from many years ago.
There are several unusual plants and the owner J showed us an amazing collection of different coloured Trilium plants ( a few in the 2nd extra), her pride and joy at the moment.
