The Edinburgh Marathon - and they're off!

It's always an exciting day to see the Edinburgh Marathon Runners assemble on London Road. 27,000 runners are expected this year - and there is a half marathon, 10k and 5k as well.

Downhill and with the prevailing wind behind, it is the UK's fastest marathon course (I'd need more help than that to run it myself though)

Number 1 son set off at 0800 in the half-marathon, and being a smart young man wore a crisp white shirt and bow tie for the occassion!
