"Nose To Nose"...

...Back at the Murray River again - and on the left is the old diesel driven ROTHBURY, (the fast one) - not a really big boat fairly close up is it - and on the right is the P.S. MUNDOO, it burns wood, and you may see the neatly packed wood heap there ready to use for the next trip..

...The old P.S. MUNDOO has seen many trips up and down the rivers, and both were originally workboats, with so much history attached to them..

...Just after I took this shot the P.S. MELBOURNE came down the river as well, but to get the 3 riverboats in a shot, it looked a little distant, so I thought this one would be better as we can see both boats just that little bit closer than how we normally see them - with passengers and travelling up or down the river. Both these boats at the moment, are empty...

...Why are they Nose to Nose you ask? Well, the P.S. MELBOURNE will be there too soon, as the Weir upstream from where they are at the moment needs maintenance, and will be removed and as a result -the river level upstream from the Weir will drop, which means - the boats will not be able to operate from their normal moorings, closer to Mildura...but closer to us...just around the corner...
