they make it look so easy!

By they, I mean professional photographers. I just watched a 2 hour video lesson on macro photography. The instructor taught about gear, lighting, composition, then out in the field to demonstrate technique, and then back inside for post processing. In no time he had 6 award worthy photos.
My struggle started with getting my tripod locked and loaded. Once I thought I had that done I went outside to look for an interesting subject that was not rocking in the breeze too much. Then the real struggle began with positioning the camera/tripod, finding the right settings, sun going behind a cloud, and camera shake when I pushed the shutter button.
I know there are solutions for all those struggles, such as light reflectors, sturdier tripods, and remotes for the shutter. But I just want to go out, point and shoot, and have a masterpiece!
By the way this little flower is about the size of my pinkie fingernail.
