Crab-apple

A perfect spring morning for the Thorpe Wood breeding bird transect, cool and dewy but with brilliant sunshine. I finally heard a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming and was able to add several more species to the year's tally. 

The rest of the day was spent preparing for the BSBI Dandelion Weekend, which included baking two cakes - Bakewell Tart and lemon Drizzle!
