Whitethroat at the Wick

Another warm sunny day - we seem to be being spared the forecast rain so my pots are beginning to wilt in the sunshine!

A bit of food shopping on Canvey this morning and now even Iceland are selling compost so we picked up another bag - with my parents Over 60's 10%  off on a Tuesday!

And then a nice little wander round the Wick nature reserve! Lots of birds singing but not many showing although this little Whitethroat wasn't as well hidden as he hoped from me!  Also saw lots of Speckled Wood butterflies, but still no sight or sound of the Cuckoo!  Had to make many detours on our walk back as some of the pathways and grounds were under water!

The May 'to do' list is now being attacked this afternoon!
