Just one more
Backblip ... again. I went for a stroll in the park this morning. The frenzy of the weekend has died down and there were few people about. This is the Virgen del Carmen, featuring a boat and some dolphins plus (not seen) a giant scallop shell, the usual fruit, veg, and flowers, and the apple with scissors stuck in it.
I chilled out with a beer for a while, watching a cute red squirrel's daring acrobatics in the trees above the cross, and then walked down to the beach. The thick sea fret from this morning had still not dissipated, but lots of people were sitting on the beach with picnics nevertheless. If you wanted to lounge in the sun, our terrace was a much better bet.
In the evening I met our French friend J at La China, a bar on the seafront. She'd invited eight people that we know through the intercambio and it was a relaxed and convivial (English-speaking) evening with Dutch, American, British, French, and Spanish friends. The intercambio has been such a great way of meeting friendly, interesting people.
