Spring Sprung

The Sun's out, Sophie's out with the girls in London and I have the day to my self!

I decided to go deer hunting.

My weapon of choice: Sophie's DSLR with super zoomy lens!

Apparently the deer are quite common up here in the North of the forest.... but still shy enough to evade being spotted by me. again.

Still, it was a beautiful day in the forest with the sunlight picking out all of the new fern shoots unfurling in the warm spring bank holiday sunshine!

I decided to do the Birch Trail from the Epping Forest visitor centre via the Loughton Camp. Apparently Dirk Turpin had a cave round here... but at least 2 other spots in Epping forest also make the same claim!
