Birthday flowers

My sister sent me these lovely carnations for my birthday which was yesterday. They are a lovely mixture and I am sure they will last well.
We had an unexpected visitor this afternoon. Kim was a school friend of our daughter and she has very kindly kept in touch with us over the years, mainly through Facebook. She has come back to her family home to help her parents. It was good to see her after all these years.
