Birthday flowers

It was my birthday yesterday and N bought me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. They are soft gentle, “old lady” colours as befits my great age.
Today I edited the latest edition if the local Talking Newspaper. I was partnered with Ann who I have known since we started our local WI together 54 years ago. It was good to catch up with her and hear news about her family. Her children were at a school with mine.
