Ostrich or Shuttlecock Fern - Matteuccia

They've almost become a weed in the bog garden in the Linda Vista Gardens in Abergavenny. Mr Wikipedia tells me the young still-curled-up fronds are edible when cooked, and regarded as a delicacy in NE North America, and the sprouts are eaten all over Japan. Must remember this next year! They're proliferating like nobody's business.
