A Welcoming Knight

Today saw the start of our Kid's Church VBS programme; this year its called 'Kingdom Rock' which will run for the next 5 weeks.

My friend Elizabeth has been busily preparing for this for quite some time now and the whole team have made a lot of the props themselves. This knight is placed outside to greet all the kids coming in to the programme. Completely made by scratch by Elizabeth's daughter and boyfriend!!!! Quite an amazing achievement. I went up there to have a look at all that was going on and everything looked so good, almost like walking into a medieval castle. I helped make some sconces, wish I could have done more.

Lets hope all the kids really enjoy it and have some lasting memories from it.

One more sleep till I fly out to Germany, I'm so not looking forward to being cold:(
