Reunion

Today I headed out to Osaka to meet up with some friends. First I had lunch with a couple that live in Osaka who I seem to see on a yearly trip there during the spring. Afterwards, met up with a friend from back in jr. high and high school who I hadn't seen in 9 years. He was visiting Japan and traveling north to south (literally, Hokkaido to Okinawa) with his girlfriend and we scheduled a day together.

It was a great time. Walked around Osaka, then took them to one of the Osaka locations of the restaurant chain I want to open in America. Another two votes for wanting it in America. But it was good to just talk and catch up. Not much reminiscing (although there was a bit) and not much talking about what we've been up to. Mostly just chatting and hanging out, as though we see each other often. It's the best thing to be able to slip right back into that mode with someone after so long.

This shot was taken at a little jazz bar we went to. Music was good, atmosphere was alright, but the owner wasn't much of a bartender, so the enjoyment was entirely made by the people I was with.
