Manoir de Keranflec'h
Continuing with the fairly full on programme, after an ( indoor ) picnic because rain threatened but didn't arrive, a visit to this local Manor house which is gradually being restored after some years of neglect. The date above the door 1712 relates to an earlier restoration with the property being at least 200 years older. An interesting building with some original features, but a lot of work still remains. Much of the immediate estate has a tree covering, but recent work has discovered areas where clothes were washed in water fed from a spring. A Chapel dating from the same period is still in use. The extra is a dinner hosted for friends, where I have to confess that drink was taken - regularly!. A thoroughly enjoyable evening showcasing the best of Breton hospitality.
