Keukenhof

Lisse, Netherlands 

A beautiful day: bright sunshine, cool breezes on occasion and thousands of tulips.

We caught the Keukenhof Express at about 9 am and spent over 7 hours strolling through the gardens. Great, diverse variety of tulips but also: sweet smelling hyacinths and muscari, azaleas, daffodils, cherry blossom, an orchid pavilion, etc etc. 

It really was spectacular. The crowds were initially a bit intimidating but once beyond the vicinity of the main gate we found our pace and space.
