Wanderings and meanders

Another beautiful day in Amsterdam.

Visit to Rembrandthuis in the morning. Interesting to see his home and how it would have been laid out. There was also an exhibition of drawings from the Peck collection and the painting 'Titus at his desk' currently on loan from Rotterdam.

After lunch near the flower market, we visited Museum Van Loon, a 17th century canal house. There was a temporary exhibition exploring the house's connections with plantations, created with the involvement of community members, including descendants of people who worked on plantations owned by the Van Loon family. It was really interesting.

Wander back to Vondelpark. It was busy as people enjoyed the evening sunshine. There was a stork nest, egyptian geese with goslings and green parakeets.
