Banana
You need more fibre in your diet, my GP told me. So I’ve been turning to bananas and apples. One way they’re consumed is as topping for my breakfast cereal (which now is Fruit & Fibre rather than my beloved Crunchy Nut). The problem with banana, of course, is how quickly it turns brown if the the whole thing isn’t eaten immediately. I cannot abide banana when it turns brown. I had a brainwave recently, and now have my own anti-browning technique. I fold over and overlay the lengths of peeled skin and secure them with a cocktail stick. The left-over banana goes into the fridge and comes out again without any nasty brown bits.
