Cherrybrook Metro Station

The semi-serious bushwalker picked Cumberland State Forest for today’s jaunt, mainly for the ride on the new metro. It took a moment to clock the colour scheme at our destination. The station is so new it resembled nothing so much as an artist’s impression.

The forest was only the size of Sydney Park but dense with towering Sydney red gums, blue gums and blackbutts, rainforest trees, palms and ferns, fungi. Birds were too high to identify but gave themselves away with their calls.

Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
