Mare and foal
Today's the day ........................ to stretch your legs
One of the lovely horses on our neighbouring farm has recently had a foal and we went to have a closer look at him today.
I imagine that the chestnut mare has a high pedigree because all the horses on this farm compete at international level - and they're very successful, so we hear. Horses are just the most elegant of creatures at the best of times - and to see this little one, the absolute spitting image of his mother, was just too adorable for words.
So the chances are that this foal might be a champion show-jumper in the making but, at just a few weeks old, he's still finding his feet (literally!) and working out what life is all about ..................
