tree fungi

These tree fungi are growing on an alder stump in the bush behind our house. Apparently these fungi are decomposers that feed on the dead tree material.
The variety of fungi in the bush is amazing and some of them are edible - you have to be very knowledgeable though, because some of them are extremely poisonous!
