Surprise!

A knock on the door, an express delivery man with a large box addressed to me. Inside was a crystal vase with a small UBC logo on it.
On May 15, the Faculty of Education held a gala reception for faculty who are retiring this year. I wasn't able to attend the event and had no idea that gifts were involved! So this was a nice surprise. I officially retire on Dec. 31!
