A walk at Miners Marsh this morning. I caught this pheasant just as I was leaving. He crossed in front of the viewing platform and I was able to get some photos.
I watched 2 male cardinals chasing each other. Someone said there was a female in the area, so it must have been a territorial thing to attract the female. I heard there were some cedar waxwings at the far end of the pond so I headed there and got a few photos. I missed the Virginia rail that has been there the past few days, he was hiding in the reeds. The usual red winged blackbirds, sparrows and tree swallows were flying around and singing.
I'm enjoying a nice sunset again tonight.
