Ready for lunch

This morning I went to the celebration church service which was presided over by a previous Bishop of Newcastle who has retired now and I discovered lives very near me.
It was a nice service with the choir singing very well and a parade of guides etc.

This is the table set for lunch. I had bought a few special plates so thought I had better use them…not much good in the future.
We had a delicious roast beef lunch cooked by my husband as usual.
After lunch we went to listen to the music in the communal gardens near us and see some friends who were having their lunch outside. So fortunate for them that the weather was good and sunny today.

The grandchildren have enjoyed the Coronation events and dressing up in red white and blue etc. they had a tea party at school and yesterday did watch quite a bit on TV. I gave them a couple of souvenirs and some books about Charles and the Coronation too.
I have bought several newspapers to day and will plough through and probably keep a couple.

As it’s still sunny I’m now going to do some gardening as rain forecast agin for tomorrow.
