River of Flowers

Sunday: Elderflower and Rowan

Pleasant weather all day, temperature around 17°C, gentle south westerly breeze and bright sunshine.
Pricked out Cosmos, Sweet Peas and Radish "Munchen Bier" yesterday and shared them with my fellow gardening neighbours across the road. Whilst I was there got to see their new arrival, the cutest little day old black chick which was being taught to peck seeds by mother hen! :-))
Did a load of washing this morning because rain is forecast from tomorrow, possibly for the week ...
It’s a fortnight since I took this photo - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3095786999353706477 - and during that time the Red Russian Kale (yellow flowers) has gone absolutely berserk! It’s so overgrown that it’s collapsed onto everything else so, I decided to pull most of it out and chop it up for compost - when it rains all the soil in this deep bed will get a thorough soaking ready for new plants to be added.
Today’s Blip of the white flowered Rowan, which has a story https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2842861665496600328 and the yellow leaved Elderflower with a clematis growing through it - must try to remember to take another photo when the clematis is in flower and the elderflower leaves have turned yellow.
Happy Bank Holiday weekend everyone XXXX XXX XX
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
