Music, music, music ..

So a day full of rehearsing .. in a village hall .. I wanted to blip the gorgeous village green - surrounded by thatched cottages - and with an oak tree with circular bench in the centre .. but it didn't look so picturesque surrounded by all the parked cars of the choir and orchestra!

I went out for a little bit of birding in the breaks and finally found my own treecreeper - but the photo was a bit duff .. and lots of shots of a chiffchaff - and a rare hoverfly!!

But here is a collared dove. I hadn't realised what gorgeous red eyes they have .. here ..

But in spite of that - I've chosen a photo of him with closed eyes. I like the peaceful look of him preening in beautiful sunshine, without a cloud in the sky :)
