Flower Fairies and Jonah

Bank Holiday Monday 8th May 2023

At least the bank holiday gave me time to recover from the weekend. I had a long lie in. Late morning I set off with J over to the Wirral to the Lady Lever Art Gallery. J wanted to see the special exhibition of the Flower Fairies, which is celebrating 100 years. After lunch at the gallery we went round the exhibition. I enjoyed the fairies but wasn't too interest in the rest of the gallery.

Now, you may have spotted a third "person" in the shot. This is Jonah. We used him in lockdown for our Tots Worship online and he's been at J's ever since. She brought him today to hand back to me but we decided to give him a day out. One of the extras shows him talking to the fairy.

After the gallery, although it was raining, we went to New Brighton. We had intended walking around the murals but instead I drove round some of them so J could see them. We found an appropriate one for Jonah too! See extra.

It was raining hard so we were forced into Costa for a hot chocolate! When we came out it had nearly stopped so we were able to walk along the prom. By that time we were really in the swing of taking pictures of Jonah and started to look for photos that would help tell his story. It was great fun.

We finished the day with fish and chips back at J's.
