PUMPING STEAM
From an early ice-cream on Roker Beach, and Coffee at The serenity Spa with my lovely wife we ended up tidying her Mam & Dads Grave. Just behind the graveyard sits The Ryhope Water Pumping Station, one of those magnificent Victorian structures that dominated many a village & town, this one I'm glad to say is still kept fired up most days with the help of a find band of volunteers, today we could hear the tooting of a Steam Engine so went for a wander to see what was there, (this is where I give up on linking everything together, view the whole set here if your interested and not bored silly), the noise, the sight, even the smell of a steam engine does it for me so I enjoyed an hour in its company before driving home vie Harrogate and a cuppa at Bettys.
Its very late and I'm loosing patience with myself, hope you like the photos and have a great Bank Holiday Monday.
Looks best large by the way.
