A room with a view

A busy morning doing domestic bits, a trip to the pharmacy for medication and a dozen and a half slugs removed from the garden.

This afternoon I’ve been up the road to friend’s house, with another friend, for afternoon tea and a natter.

Now it’s raining and there’s thunder in the distance and very threatening clouds.

I used the Merlin bird app this morning, which picked up several bird songs including blackcap and goldcrest.  It also picked up an oystercatcher, but bearing in mind we live two hours from the coast, is not only highly unlikely, but definitely not.  It probably mistook a high note from the song thrush.  It also can’t distinguish between the alarm calls of the blue and great tits.  Other than that, it’s impressive.
