Glimpses of our Liberation Day
We were very lucky with the weather, it was drizzling but when we saw it the weather was glorious, the Cavalcade was driving around the island and escorted by the police. It’s a sort of re-enactment of the real Liberation of the Island of Guernsey. There were many things going on around the Island, but we decided to watch the cavalcade from Bordeaux, there was a lovely friendly crowd of people and so this is a glimpse of it all going on. Later we walked from Petils bay to Bordeaux bay, and in extras you can see the little Island of Herm which is part of our Bailiwick. We’ve popped home for a rest and for tea, then we may go out again for the Firework Display.
