Pipework
At the Aberdeen art gallery. Pipework is Gexhi, 1967 Eduardo Paolozzi
Train to Aberdeen in the morning; saw my first swallow of the year swooping over the field beside Leuchars station. Big build up of clouds over Aberdeen; came on to pour as I was leaving the gallery. Found a bus to the airport (Taxis only take cash ..).
There was a short easing in the downpour as I went to the hire car, and a convenient gap at Inverurie (collected groceries). Very heavy between Inverurie and Rothienorman, overwhelming the road drains. Turriff was damp, but hadn't had the thundershowers. Walked around the circuit.
Aberdeen seemed a lot busier than when I was last in the city in 2018. It's still an oil town, but there's wind turbine business too.
