River of Flowers

Friday: Pink Apple Blossom and Blue Sky

This was at lunchtime - stiff northeasterly breeze, house martins flying around, all sorts of bees feeding on the flowers and plenty of insects for the garden birds :-)
All sorts of birds foraging in the garden and helping themselves to sunflower hearts in the bird feeders.
My gardening job today was to sort out the assorted pots stored overwinter under the maple tree. Some plants had died, pots emptied, compost dried in the sun and sieved to reuse - very handy for seed sowing + recovered lots of gravel/small pebbles for mulching tops of pots.
Had a surprise phone call from The Sailor this evening with tales of the adventure that he and our Jo had recently :-)) xx
Went outdoors at dusk, saw a single bat, I could hear lambs bleating in the distance and under the bird feeders there was a hedgehog finding lots of tasty snacks!!
Weekend here again - wishing everyone lots of fun and sunshine :-)) XXXX XXX XX
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
