Inspiration at last!

Friends coming for dinner on Saturday so I've been poring over recipe books, looking for inspiration. Decided upon Spanish meatballs with clams, chorizo and squid, followed by a pancake cake 15 storeys high! Starter still to be decided.

I really ought to rid my shelves of some of my recipe books. Forty really is too many, and that's not even counting the ones I bring home from the library. The fixation seems to be rubbing off on youngest as well. When I ask him to choose some books for a car journey he often opts for a cookery book. The Great British Book of Baking is a firm favourite. Can't wait until I can trust him with a sharp knife and the gas hob :-)
