ONE DAY OLD.

Got up at 4.30am and left as the sun was coming up. The swans were asleep when I got there, so walked on and managed to get quite close to a heron fishing (see extra). On the way back I stood on the bridge for over an hour, but nothing happened. Came home had a coffee and headed back to the canal, again stood on the bridge in a strong wind, it was cold. eventually I got to see the cygnets, six. In extras you can see there is still one egg which did not hatch. Promise I will not post them tomorrow, just wanted a record of how many there were.
