In the Pink

After a quiet day working in the railway shop, it was a treat to get out in the sunshine with Meg for a little while.  The Thrift along the seafront is looking fantastic right now, a pink carpet stretching into the distance.  It was blowy but these low growing plants are impervious to that.

I was able to take a couple of forty minute breaks during the day.  I took Meg on a short walk the first time and baked a batch of scones on the later break plus put something in the oven for tea.  Chris came over and we enjoyed gammon, egg and chips .... and a scone with jam and cream.  Jamie had arranged a trip to The Magic Lantern where we saw the latest Marvel film, a raucous adventure with lots of music along the way.  Fun.
