Finally: a baby deer

Today was a beautiful, although somewhat cool, summer day. The birds were really active, and I captured quite a few possible blips for posting; however, my picture of the day is not a bird, but an almost newborn baby deer that was pointed out to me by a couple walking their pug dog (another possible blip). The momma doe tried to draw our attention away from her baby by leaping off in another direction, and as we didn't want to distress her, I shot a few pictures and left. If you look closely at her back, you can see that she still has her spots. She probably isn't more than a few days old. Here is another picture of her.
