The Fisherman’s Rest.
We awoke to another glorious morning, and the sun hasn’t stopped shining all day. 21C
On our trip to Newlyn to buy some more fish, Megrim again as we love it so, we came across a most delightful tiny cafe.
Perched on the side of Newlyn’s medieval quay, is the old consecrated Fisherman’s Rest.
Empty for 30 years it has now been born again.
Now a charity based community cafe.
A very peaceful place to stop for a friendly chat with great coffee and sandwiches.
What a hidden gem. All being well we are going back on Thursday morning fir breakfast.
The photo was taken as we sat outside having morning coffee.
Absolutely heaven.
To anyone visiting Cornwall I would say seek this place out.
Looking forward to my cousin and wife calling this evening. Haven’t seen them for 15 years and they just happen to be in Cornwall at the same time as us, and staying only half an hour away.
As well as walking the coastal path he has been researching our Cornish roots. Should be an interesting evening!
