Skeletal
I have yet to see a dragonfly or damselfly this year, but there is evidence that there must be some around. Probably too cool and breezy for them to fly today. This remnant of the nymph, it’s cast off exoskeleton, which the adult (possibly a four spotted chaser) has emerged from is technically called an Exuvia.
Elsewhere at Risley Moss the fresh bracken stems are pushing through the remnants of last years efforts (extra)
