Singapore

Upon arriving in Singapore, we discovered that, apart from being crowded with Asian people, it could be any western city. Signs are all in english, and most people speak english well. We didn't really feel like we were in Asia.

If had to describe Singapore in one phrase I think I'd say that it is one big shopping mall. They are all connected in a labyrinth. You can walk for days and see nothing but places to buy stuff and places to eat. Singapore obviously takes pride in its malls. Shopping is the national pastime.
