For the shower room we selected this pattern of tiles. There were various options in the range, but there were these with the pattern and matching plain ones. The plain ones were no cheaper, but it would have been a bit much to have all pattern. The pattern is spread over three tiles, so you have to be careful how you join them to get a good match. The tiler actually did a good job, but there were a load of offcuts (which we obviously had to pay for). We told them to leave everything behind as we were going to use them up, but annoyingly they actually took most of them away and we only had a few of the larger ones left over.

Over the weekend my wife found the best offcuts and put them around the sink in the loo. There is a deliberate gap between the sink and the wall which my wife wanted - which I would have done the exact opposite. Because we don't have all the small pieces it wasn't possible to find a small bit to fit between the sink and the wall to the right, hence the small gap you can see in the corner. You will notice that some of the tiles line up, but not all of them - which isn't bad given they are offcuts.

The sink is attached to the wall with a metal bracket you can just see because the original fixing tore the plasterboard, which is annoying, but it's stable now.
