A day round home pottering with jobs and doing my "homework" about Cold Springs ready for the first meeting of the steering committee.

Cold Springs is a new Cumbria Wildlife Trust reserve up on Beacon Edge.  The land was gifted to the Trust in her will by a Lady who was part owner of a farm.  It is still early days but there are already 1200 trees/scrub planted.  No large species will be planted in case they blocked the view across the lake district from Beacon Edge.  The planning is complicated by the terms of the will which said the reserve had to also be "for the community".
