Where Sky Meets The Land

A day of rest

Today it dawned on me that I have moved on so much in a year, how grateful I am to all who have been a part of my journey.

After rising very late - it would seem my body has actually realised it is on holiday, and it can now sleep for the first time in months for longer than 5hours!
I headed out to Southampton common, were we picnicked in the sun again, and slept in the dappled light underneath a tree whilst listening to Mumford and Sons!
After strolling along we came across the 'Ornamental Pond' where this little family of swans were having some good lessons in swimming and how to not get tangled in the branches of a low lying tree! They were so fluffy and gorgeous, and the adults long slender necks were so elegant I couldn't help but snap this picture of them!
We then headed to the Southampton sea museum, were we followed the lives of several crew members of the Titanic, and listened to stories being regaled and casting a deeper imagery on the scenes that we are all so accustomed with. The museum was great to walk around and learn so much. After the Titanic we looked at how sea faring and Southampton have changed the world...maybe.
Then a lovely pub dinner treat from my lovely man, and back for some good old comedy watching!
Hope everyone has had a fantastic bank holiday weekend, and made the most of the gorgeous weather.
Lots of Love G.
