Barefoot on a Barrier Beach
A companion to yesterday's photo, as is the kitten on a bed of bougainvillea to yesterday's extra, plus one last one of Paul and Felicity on a very crowded beach - all three taken on Armona, one of the Ria Formosa's barrier islands. We took the normal ferry out, 4 euros return fare, and had a picnic lunch, still with leftovers from Monday's dinner.
The weather has been cloudy and quite cool all day, wish it would rain - the Algarve's drought is even more intense than ours.
Gratefuls:
- everyone relaxing into the fact that we weren't going to do as much today as we'd planned
- a surprisingly good coffee ice-cream on Armona while we waited for the ferry
- Paul treating us all to a great Mexican dinner in Faro tonight
