Wise words!

This is the picture I bought Edward for his birthday, but it so sums up today!
Had a great day with great friends...and then spent the evening with a close friend who is going through a very bitter, heart wrenching divorce. For the first time in the last 18 months - I got involved in the mess and spoke to her husband and then had an hour long conversation with his girlfriend. I said a lot that I had been holding back on - although I was very careful to not to say too much.
Feel very drained and not sure at this moment in time whether any of it has been productive. It is so sad to see the destruction that can be caused and has made me even more aware of the need to work hard at my own marriage. Life is what you make it and yet it can throw so many struggles, but you just cannot give up and lose sight of the important things - whatever you choose them to be x
