Hardwick (National Trust)

The home of ‚Bess of Hardwick‘ and an amazing story of this lady which rose to the highest levels of society and wealth in the 16th century, surviving 4 husbands. No wonder she needed an extra room to store all the business papers (see extra).


Afterwards a visit to Bakewell, and of course we tried one of the specialties. We went for the Bakewell tart and liked it very much.
