A 1964 Ford Cortina and a 1966 Lotus in the RAC Club where I attended a memorial lunch to a well respected figure from my work days .  As I wandered down Pall Mall to find the lunch I studied the huge statue commemorating the Crimean War (1853 - 1856)..extra.   Apparently a success for the West but not one Russia has forgotten.
