Holiday Snaps

This is the Parish Church at Mouxy near Aix-Les-Bains where my grandmother was born and grew up. When, after WWI she married my grandad and settled down in England to raise a family, they called their house “Mouxy”. I guess she wanted something to remind her of her home in the Savoie. Being of a strong catholic family she would almost certainly have visited this little church regularly.

We stopped off here this morning before pushing on southwards to Avignon.
