Ascension Sunday.
It is a sunny evening, 19c and ideal for a short canal walk.
Paul had not seen much of the cygnets so we walked towards Church and Oswaldtwistle, and discovered the little family happily swimming and playing around their mother. Father swan appeared later.
There are three narrowboats moored in Rishton and they are called the Artful Dodger, Maxem, and Eva. We watched Eva being skilfully turned around by the boaters, facing towards Blackburn.
My sister and her husband have returned to their home after a week visiting Edinburgh and Aviemore.
