Despite a ridiculously late bedtime from Amelie, she was still up at the crack of dawn. Luckily the distractions of being away meant she didn't have any big tantrums due to lack of sleep. She took Nina for a walk with Auntie Laura and played in the garden. After we lunch we decided to walk to a nearby park. It was a couple of miles away. It was Laura's first time taking Nina to a very public place with other dogs! They both did very well with only one notable incident - whilst sitting on a plastic chair eating an ice cream, Laura had hold of Nina's lead...I could see another dog coming but couldn't warn Laura as my mouth was full of ice cream. Without any instructions to behave otherwise Nina made for the other dog, dragging Laura on her seat along with her! Luckily it was a quick pull on her lead and a warning and she was fine. I had visions of Laura being dragged through the park on the chair behind Nina chasing the other dog!!! Our walk home was long and a hit hot in the sunshine. We had all slowed considerably by the time we got there, Amelie was on Chris' shoulders and Nina was panting! An early bedtime for little miss tired and we had Laura's lovely chilli and nachos. Brilliant day!!

Just realised this is Nina's first blip appearance. She is an ex RAF police dog who is now living the life of luxury with my brother, whom she dotes on,and his other half in their new house. Donald and Nina bonded when working together and when he heard she was being taken out of service he was desperate to have her. I'm not surprised, she's very good natured and lovely. Amelie agrees!
