Mitchell's Fold
We should have been moving into our new home in the Shropshire Hills this week. Given that debacle it seems appropriate that we have a great day's walking in the area instead. Despite yesterday's efforts the spaniel managed to put in another seven hours, culminating with the ascent of the 514 metre Corndon Hill with its spectacular 360 degree panoramic views over Shropshire and the Welsh hills. The highlight for me though was the 3,000 year old Mitchell's Fold stone circle on nearby Stapeley hill with its 15 standing stones.
